WOOD4ALL: Equal opportunities and advancement of women
The project WOOD4ALL impressively demonstrates that technological innovation and social responsibility can go hand in hand. Our aim was not only to initiate structural changes through targeted measures on gender competence, work-life balance, public relations, mentoring and career development, but also to establish a culture of equality and diversity in the long term.
Project goals & content:
With interactive workshops for all employees, gender and diversity awareness is brought into focus, expanded and equal opportunities practiced at Wood K plus are further anchored in the corporate culture. The measures implemented as part of the planned “work&Family” audit will improve the work-life balance for existing employees and increase the attractiveness of the company as an employer for potential (international) applicants. For the planned modular training programme for existing and new managers with a focus on gender and diversity, women in particular are to be motivated to participate in order to further increase the proportion of women in management positions. Mentoring workshops with successful women from science and business will be used to implement a women's network and support female employees in their personal career planning. With the planned key performance indicator model in the equality plan, the effects of the measures taken for more equal opportunities and the advancement of women can be measured and used as a basis for the further development and management of the measures.
