Project goals & contents:
The main objective of the project is to increase skills and knowledge with the help of a cross-border mentoring programme specialising in the transition to a circular economy for SMEs. The project aims to use technological and non-technological solutions to introduce the cascade use model for residual raw materials from production processes. This leads to the creation of added value and strengthens the competitiveness of the programme area by transforming SMEs into the green and digital economy.
The project focuses on:
- Implementation model for the cross-border mentoring programme specialising in supporting circular change in SMEs.
- Training of 12 mentors to support the circular transformation of regional SMEs.
- Development and testing of 3 assessment tools to evaluate the readiness of SMEs to introduce new technologies, business models and new materials, and the catalogue of good practices.
- Upgrade of the existing database to support mentors in offering services (list of solution providers from across the EU, database of financing measures for SMEs, SME assessment tools, good practice established business models).
- Pilot testing of the mentoring programme with end users (SMEs). The SME programme offers
- Training academy with at least 10 workshops and the participation of at least 20 students who will be involved in circular research projects, and
- Individual 1:1 mentoring services to offer specialised and tailored support for the introduction of new technologies, new circular business models or support for the development of new materials. A total of at least 50 SMEs will be supported in the pilot trial.
