Die nat\u00fcrliche Hygroskopie der Naturfasern und deren Degradation bei langfristig erh\u00f6hter Materialfeuchte limitieren derzeit die Verwendungsm\u00f6glichkeiten. Das i\u00b3Sense Projekt untersuchte, wie materialintegrierte Zustands\u00fcberwachung implementierbar ist und setzt gleichzeitig auf nat\u00fcrliche, faserbasierte Materialien bei der Herstellung. Papier als Tr\u00e4germaterial bietet den Vorteil, dass es bei der Integration in Naturfaserkomposite vollst\u00e4ndig vom niedrigviskosen Harz durchdrungen wird und dadurch eine optimale Anbindung an das umliegende Material erreicht. Zudem ist der organische Halbleiter PEDOT:PSS Poly(3,4-ethylendioxythiophen) Polystyrolsulfonat f\u00fcr seine hohe Empfindlichkeit gegen\u00fcber Luftfeuchte\u00e4nderungen bekannt und l\u00e4sst sich auf Papier als sensorische Schicht aufbringen. Die Herausforderung bestand darin, dass die klassischen mikrotechnologischen Verfahren, wie Fotolithographie, nicht mit Papiersubstraten kompatibel sind.<\/p><p>Der von i\u00b3Sense und IMSAS entwickelte Ansatz erm\u00f6glicht es, die Sensoren mittels einfacher, kosteng\u00fcnstiger Verfahren herzustellen. Hierf\u00fcr werden mithilfe eines 3D-Druckers Rahmenstrukturen auf dem Papiersubstrat aufgebracht, mittels Drop-Casting der Halbleiter eingef\u00fcllt, im Rahmen getrocknet und der Rahmen im Abschluss entfernt. Die Kontaktierung erfolgt im Siebdruckverfahren mit flexibler Silberpaste.<\/p><p>Die hergestellten Sensoren zeigen schnelle und reversible Antworten auf Ver\u00e4nderungen der relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit der Umgebungsluft (Abbildung 1), sowie einen vollst\u00e4ndigen Erhalt ihrer Sensitivit\u00e4t nach Einbettung in das Kompositmaterial gegen\u00fcber ver\u00e4nderter Materialfeuchte bei niedriger Materialfeuchte (Abbildung 2). Damit zeigen sich die Sensoren als besonders geeignet, um fr\u00fchzeitig das Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit in das Material zu detektieren.<\/p><h4><span style=\"color: #b37652;\"><strong>Wirkungen und Effekte<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p>Materialfeuchte in Naturfaserkompositen kann mittels organischer Halbleiter auf Papier zuverl\u00e4ssig erfasst werden. Dieser Ansatz stellt einen Schritt in Richtung einer dauerhaften Zustands\u00fcberwachung in Naturfaserkompositen dar und tr\u00e4gt dazu bei, diese als naturbasiertes Konstruktionsmaterial der Zukunft attraktiver zu machen, indem das materialintegrierte Monitoring die langfristige Sicherheit des Materials erh\u00f6ht.
