Short-term research stay at Wood K plus

To gain additional knowledge two students from TU Liberec had a short-term research stay at our center in St Veit from February to April 2022.

Ms. Qingyan Peng and Mr. Xiaodong Tan both are currently doing Ph.D. in faculty of textile engineering at technical University of Liberec (TUL) in the Czech Republic. The Ph.D. thesis of Mr. Tan is related to the preparation and application of cellulose base composites and the supervisor of the work is Dr. Saskova from TUL.

Ms. Peng for her doctoral thesis currently she is working on synthesis and analysis of graphene (and its derivatives)-based high strength and excellent conductive materials as well as their use in filtrations, sensors, smart textiles, EMI shielding. Prof. Militký from TUL is currently supervising her thesis.

They did part of their thesis work especially on preparing cellulose based conductive membrane by silanization, biopolymer 3D structural foam; graphene based aramid nanofiber reinforced composite in St.Veit an der Glan. We wish them much success in their Ph.D. work and best wishes for all of their future endeavors. This is also a good starting point for a future successful collaboration with TU Liberec.
